Bridge over a river Iron

4 counties across 2 countries again although the time spent in Wales was again minimal. After a brief drive through the Forest of Dean went to Abergavenny just because I like the name! Quick stop for a photo of the sign and on to Hereford to meet everyone for a tea stop. Trying to listen to the local radio everywhere and although Sunshine fm was much easier to understand than BBC YMRU (all in Welsh, very little music), as soon as I put it on it started to rain which was very apt for driving through Wellington!

Before everyone arrived in Ludlow for lunch i had a wander round the castle which happened to be having a free open day, even had a go at archery but slightly missed the target bell.

Fact/TV fans: Cameo Hair & Beauty Studio in Ludlow was featured in 10 Years Younger - could explain the price...

Switched to Beacon Radio on the drive to Ironbridge & discovered the big news story of the day - even thoughShropshire is the birthplace of the modern Olympics the current plans don't have the torch staying overnight although it will pass through Much Wenlock.

Had a small wander through Much Wenlock before the last few miles & found out that it's the Market town that inspired the modern Olympic movement and even has an Olympian trail you can follow. Am sure with all this new information I've taken in today something important has been pushed out!!

Comedy place names of the day:
Mardy
Pandy
Diddlebury
All of which drove through or past without anywhere to stop & take a picture
